'Bold as brass' - My brother's killer brags on TikTok about partying in jail

Margaret McCallum's brother, Stephen Quigley, 26, was stabbed by McCulloch in March 2021. McCulloch then left Quigley outside a hospital, where he was later found dead. Four years into McCulloch's sentence, McCallum discovered posts showing him celebrating and appearing to take drugs inside maximum-security prisons. One TikTok clip reportedly featured a prisoner stating, "Who said life in jail was hard?"
Mobile phones are strictly banned in jails, and their illegal use can lead to disciplinary action or prosecution. A prison official noted that an iPhone can fetch up to £5,000 behind bars. While McCulloch has reportedly been found guilty of additional charges for illegal phone use, he will not serve extra time due to concurrent sentencing rules. McCallum supports a new law to criminalize sending messages from prison that cause distress to victims' families, emphasizing the need for rehabilitation to be meaningful.
