Man arrested climbing into Israeli embassy had arrived on small boat twice, court hears

Abdullah Albadri was arrested on April 28 last year as he tried to scale an 8ft fence at the Israeli embassy in London. Armed officers intervened, finding him with two knives. The prosecution told the jury that Albadri had sent a picture of a "martyrdom note" to his mother via WhatsApp hours before the incident, stating his intention to "go in the cause of Allah."
The court heard that Albadri had twice entered the UK by small boat from France, first in August 2021 and again in April last year. He denies the charges. Prosecutors presented evidence that Albadri had searched for the Israeli embassy and religious law about suicide on his phone in the days leading up to his arrest.
Upon arrest, Albadri reportedly told officers, "I got my weapons" and asked, "Why are you stopping me from making crimes?" These exchanges were captured on body-worn cameras. The trial continues at the Old Bailey.
