Prince Harry: Children Should Be an 'Upgrade' of Their Parents

During his visit, Prince Harry spoke at the launch of a Movember report focusing on the mental health of fathers of young children. He noted that the world has changed significantly, meaning parenting cannot be the same as previous generations experienced. He encouraged fathers to view their children as an "upgrade," adapting to new approaches.
The Duke reiterated that seeking help for mental health struggles is a sign of strength, not weakness, and that open discussion is crucial. Research from Movember indicates that one in five fathers feel extremely isolated after having a child, and many are not asked about their well-being in the year following a baby's birth. The report also found that 70% of fathers do not wish to parent in the same way their own fathers did, highlighting a generational shift in parenting ideals.
